​Welcome to EdConsultations! Since 2002 we have provided consultation services and professional development to school boards, administrators, teachers, and support staff of schools so that they can provide the best experience to their students and parents.

We have since expanded our operations to not only include educational services, but to also teach workshops and seminars to individuals as well. We specialize in the areas of conflict resolution, professional behavior, academic success, and Islamic education. Teachers as Change Agents of Peace
Dr. Yasmeen Qadri, Professor in the Teacher Education Program at Valencia College--East, has developed a unique teacher preparation program to prepare future teachers. A program that will equip future teachers with skills of conflict transformation and peace and justice.
Dare to Dream with Dignity: Learning to Develop Your "3-D" Image
Muslim girls and women have been stereotyped and ridiculed for their hijab and modest clothing. High school and college campuses can sometimes be spaces where this negativity is brought to the forefront. Hear what Dr. Qadri's own students have to say about the hijab by clicking the video to the left. We provide "Dare to Dream with Dignity" workshops that provide important tips on how to navigate social situations with your hijab and dress code in the West.
Dr. Yasmeen Qadri Reflects on Moms and Daughters Event
UMF hosted "Moms & Daughters: Building Bonds Before University" on April 18th at the Husseini Islamic Center (HIC) in Sanford, Florida. The event brought together mothers and daughters of all ages to reflect upon challenges and solutions of Muslim women.

XVII World Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf
Dr. Yasmeen Qadri had the pleasure of visiting Istanbul, Turkey to attend the XVII World Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf from July 28 to August 1, 2015. This trip was made possible by the generous funding from the Dr. Phillips Foundation Chair in Education for the Physically Challenged (2014-2015). Dr. Yasmeen Qadri's Journey of Peace
Dr. Qadri was on sabbatical for the Spring 2013 semester. She traveled to three cities in Saudi Arabia: Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah. She also visited Jakarta and Bali in Indonesia, and Delhi and Hyderabad in India. During her travels, she had the opportunity to visit local schools, colleges, and universities in each of the countries. She shared her expertise through workshops, seminars, and question and answer sessions. Her presentation from the trip can be accessed by clicking on the two videos below.
